The Lamp is Back and Bright as ever

I just wanted to say that This Lamp (Rick Mansfield) is back and in full force.  I guess it has been back for a while.  It is one of my favorite sites, and I just wanted to let others know just in case you didn’t know like me 😉

Hollywood Prayer Meeting

We have been having prayer meetings in Hollywood now for a couple of months.  These meetings are led by the President of our Fellowship (several hundred churches in the USA, and hundreds worldwide) Larry Neville.

Well last night he took the prayer meeting to the streets, where they were preaching and sharing the gospel as well.

I thought this was pretty cool, the President of a Fellowship out on the streets praying and proclaiming the Gospel.

Azusa Street – Pretty Cool

I didn’t take this photo, my friend did.  But I thought I would share it for those of you that never get a chance to see it.

If you can’t read the sign below the street name it says”

Batman the Dark Knight

By far the best Batman movie ever made, and possibly the best DC movie ever made. I hope that the writers and directors from Superman and Justice League are paying attention and don’t come out with another stupid superman movie, or completely screw up the Justice League.

It is two and half hours long, but I did not think it was boring at all.  What you are hearing and reading about the Joker is true. By far one of the best depictions of the comic book character. At least as he has been written about in the last 20 years.

I don’t want to give anything away but all I can say is go see it. Unless you just hate Comics, and it’s not your thing.  Also there is a small tribute to Jack Nicholson when the Joker is being introgated by Batman.  See if you catch it.

Where have I’ve been?

I started a Social Network for my church fellowship that I am a part of.  I have just been busy over there, and have had little time to contribute here.  I am not sure what I will be doing in the long run with this blog, so I understand if you take me off your blogroll.

I do hope to keep blogging, and will continue to visit and interact with a few blogs that I enjoy.  Blogging has enriched my writing skills, forced me to think clearly about my positions, and most importantly I have actually made a few friends.  I am not ready to abandon this blog, so keep me in your prayers.
